The Story Behind JF Smart Learning
I grew up in Slovakia, in the heart of the Carpathian Mountains. My childhood was filled with long walks with my dog, mushroom-picking adventures with my father, and winters skiing down snow-covered slopes. Those experiences taught me lessons about the beauty, balance, and principles of nature — lessons that have shaped who I am and continue to inspire how I teach today.
When I moved into education, I carried those values with me. Over the past 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching and leading in schools across England, Romania, Vietnam, China, and Singapore. As an IBDP Biology examiner and curriculum expert in science and psychology, I’ve guided thousands of students on their journeys to academic success — but more importantly, to becoming confident, curious thinkers.
JF Smart Learning was created to bring those two worlds together: the rigour of excellent international education and the wonder of learning through nature. Here in Singapore, we weave nature-inspired education into every programme, helping young learners see patterns, principles, and meaning in the world around them.

Where Nature Meets Knowledge
At JF Smart Learning, we bring science, creativity, and curiosity to life through our unique blend of STEAM holiday camps, after-school enrichment, and expert tuition for learners aged 4 to 18.
From 1-, 3-, or 5-day camps to weekly after-school programmes and personalised support for IGCSE, GCSE, MYP, PSLE, Primary, IB, O-Level and A-Level success, our programmes are designed to inspire every learner, whether they’re budding engineers, future doctors, or curious thinkers.
Based near Bedok Reservoir and active within schools across Singapore and Southeast Asia, our hands-on approach combines nature, science, and real-world learning. Founded by international science and mathematics specialist educators, we use research-backed methods to make learning stick, and spark a lifelong love of discovery.

Our flagship location is set near the peaceful Bedok Reservoir Park, the perfect spot for nature-based education. With easy access to nature and space to explore, this is where our core camps, workshops, and tutoring take place.
What We Offer
STEAM Camps (Ages 8-14)
Our nature-based camps run all year round, not just during school breaks, in 1-day, 3-day, or 5-day formats. Each camp is a vibrant mix of outdoor exploration, scientific investigation, and creative problem-solving. From rocket launches to eco engineering, bug hunts to brain games, our camps are made for curious kids who love to move, build, create, and question. Learners are constantly moving, building, experimenting, and collaborating, outdoors and off screens.
After-School Enrichment Programmes (Ages 6-14)
Weekly learning with a focus on exploration, creativity, and fun. Exciting sessions where kids dive into one of 100s of hands-on challenge like building solar prints, wind turbines, kites, or water filters. Each workshop explores real science and engineering in fun, creative ways, with an nature or outdoor twist.
Expert Tuition (Ages 6–18)
We offer personalised tuition in:
- IGCSE, GCSE, MYP, PSLE, Primary, IB, O-Level and A-Level.
- Available online or face to face.
- Subjects offered: Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Sports Science, ESS, Psychology, Design, Marine Science, Astronomy, Engineering and many more. Contact us for more information.
- Using our G.A.P. Method (Gauge, Analyse, Perfect), students build confidence, close knowledge gaps, and learn how to learn, all with the support of experienced educators and examiners.
