About JF Smart Learning
Thoughtful Academic Mentorship, Delivered with Purpose
JF Smart Learning provides online academic mentorship in STEM subjects for international students following demanding curricula such as IGCSE, IB, A-Level, and AP.
We work with a limited number of learners to ensure depth, clarity, and meaningful academic progress. Our approach is structured, evidence-informed, and grounded in long-term experience across international education systems.
This is not mass online tutoring. It is focused, expert academic mentorship.
Who Are We?
JF Smart Learning was founded by Mr Jozef Bendik and Dr Fabio Di Salvo, both experienced international educators with a shared commitment to thoughtful, rigorous, and ethical academic mentorship.
Together, they bring deep expertise across STEM education, research supervision, academic leadership, and international curricula.

Mr. Jozef Bendik
Co-Founder | Academic Director
Jozef Bendik is an experienced international educator and academic leader with a background spanning classroom teaching, curriculum leadership, and external assessment across multiple education systems.
He has extensive experience supporting students following IGCSE, IB Diploma, A-Level, and AP curricula, with particular strengths in Biology, Environmental Systems & Societies (ESS), Psychology, Chemistry, and Sports Science, as well as specialist areas including Marine Science and Human Anatomy. As a former head of department and IB examiner, Jozef brings a clear understanding of assessment expectations and academic standards.
Jozef’s work focuses on helping students develop clarity of thought, strong conceptual understanding, and confident academic decision-making. He is particularly experienced in mentoring older secondary and pre-university students through complex academic demands, including coursework, research projects, and high-stakes exam years.

Dr. Fabio Di Salvo
Co-Founder | Director of STEM & Research
Dr Fabio Di Salvo is a scientist, educator, and academic mentor with a strong background in engineering, scientific research, and STEM education. He holds a doctoral degree and brings first-hand experience of research-driven thinking, problem-solving, and analytical reasoning.
Fabio specialises in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Design & Technology, and Astronomy, and has worked extensively with students across secondary and pre-university levels. His teaching and mentorship emphasise modelling, systems thinking, and the application of mathematical and physical principles to complex problems.
With experience spanning both education and research environments, Fabio plays a key role in shaping JF Smart Learning’s STEM tuition, research mentorship, and academic coaching frameworks. He is particularly focused on helping students approach learning with intellectual curiosity, precision, and confidence.
Our Shared Vision
As co-founders, Jozef and Fabio share a belief that effective education is deliberate, well-structured, and deeply human. JF Smart Learning was created to provide an alternative to mass tutoring — one that values depth, integrity, and genuine academic growth.
They work closely together to ensure that every programme reflects:
- strong academic foundations
- ethical guidance
- realistic expectations
- and personalised, expert support
Our Philosophy
We believe strong academic outcomes are built through:
- clear thinking
- deep understanding
- careful planning
- and consistent, well-guided effort
Learning is most effective when students understand why ideas work, not just how to answer questions. Our role is to help learners develop confidence, independence, and sound academic judgement — skills that matter far beyond any single exam.
We prioritise:
- depth over speed
- quality over scale
- guidance over shortcuts
Our Approach
All programmes at JF Smart Learning are delivered online, allowing us to work with students globally while maintaining a highly personal approach.
Our teaching and mentorship are:
- Diagnostic-led — identifying strengths, gaps, and priorities
- Examiner-informed — aligned with real assessment expectations
- Structured and intentional — with clear goals and feedback
We apply well-established principles from cognitive science, including retrieval practice, scaffolding, and deliberate practice, to support durable learning and academic confidence.
Our Educators
JF Smart Learning is founded by senior international educators with extensive experience across classroom teaching, academic leadership, and external assessment.
Our team includes:
- experienced IB examiners
- former heads of department
- educators with deep familiarity with international curricula
This experience allows us to guide students with clarity and realism, helping them understand what high-quality academic work actually looks like, and how to achieve it ethically and independently.
Who We Work With
We work best with students who:
- are following rigorous international curricula
- value clear explanations and structured guidance
- are willing to engage actively with their learning
Our students range across secondary and pre-university levels, and our support is always tailored to the learner’s stage, needs, and goals.
Because of the nature of our work, places are intentionally limited.
What We Don’t Do
To protect quality and integrity, we deliberately do not offer:
- mass classes or volume-based tutoring
- last-minute “rescue” solutions
- coursework writing or editing services
- template-driven or generic academic advice
Our work is grounded in ethical academic support and genuine skill development.
Why Families Choose JF Smart Learning
Families choose JF Smart Learning because we offer:
- experienced, calm academic guidance
- honest, realistic advice
- structured support without pressure or hype
- a long-term view of academic development
We aim to support students not just to perform well, but to think clearly, plan effectively, and approach their education with confidence.
Getting Started
All new families begin with an initial consultation, which allows us to:
- understand academic context and priorities
- assess whether our approach is the right fit
- recommend appropriate next steps
This ensures our support is purposeful, appropriate, and effective from the outset.
